Right guys so I've got my eyes on this absolutely bonkers Tokai 'Breezy Sound', Which I think should really be called the 'Hurricane' or something. anyhow I'm finding it quite hard to date the thing, I'd quite like to know before I make the purchase.
Now it doesn't look terribly old there's a few minor marks where the strap would have brushed the body and minor scratching on the back but other than that it's Pristine. On the back of the neck it says Made in Japan and on the front it has the non fender Tokai logo with the slightly sharpened tele headstock, According to all that I place it 1984-5, but then it gets interesting.
The back is finished in a dark metallic blue, the front is a full body mirror scratchplate, and there are four pickups present. NO guitars in any of the catalogues look like this, and the whole thing looks far too professionally done to not be stock. Also it plays like. well unlike any other tele I've played. It's a bit matt bellamy, but I'm in love guys.

Later 1990's Korean made Tokais have the correct open book style headstock and 7 digit stamped serial number, but usually have bolt on necks while earlier ones had set necks.
